Celebrate Arbor Day by making a hand-made tile impressed with a leaf from your favorite tree! On Arbor Day evening, Friday, April 26th, from 6-8pm, join Suzanne Crane at Mud Dauber Pottery in Earlysville, Virginia for an intimate, fun, hands-on workshop on making botanical tiles using tree leaves.  Each participant will be provided with a pre-cut 6″ square wet stoneware tile and plenty of help with impressing your tree leaf or leaves. Also included: white porcelain slip and brushes, extra texturing tools (or bring your own, if inspired), alphabet stamps to label your tree leaf, and a cup of wine or fizzy water.  After the workshop, we will carefully dry your tile to help ensure flatness, then bisque fire and glaze fire your tile in the color of your choice.
