I made a series of five mini-bowls from the clay scraps left over from the tile-making process when working on a custom mural; this is one of them.  This tiny bowl is only 5.75″ in diameter and 1.5″ deep and features a portion of a leaf of the nasty invasive plant, mugwort.  Mugwort, for me, is a symbol of “nevertheless, she persisted,” because I watched a woman renting the house adjacent to my studio attack the mugwort-infested garden behind my studio and transform it into a zinnia-filled wonder.
