Description

I’ve always found Smartweed to be a strange name for a grass-like plant, but there you have it.  That’s the name of the grass-like plant that lent its impression to the inside of this little bowl. I cut drainage holes into the bottom so you could wash and drain, then serve your blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, etc in it without having to bother using a colander and then transferring the delicate little fruits into some other bowl.  Not my invention, but clever enough.  The bowl also has little clay feet to keep it up off the sink bottom, so it will keep the draining berries from getting soggy.  If I had been truly clever, I would have thrown a matching smartweed plate to go with the berry bowl, but I didn’t.  Next time.  3″ deep including feet by 6.5″ diameter.
