This large bowl, glazed in mossy celadon green, has four clay baby birds perched on its rim.  One of them is asleep.  In the tradition of sumi-e ink brush painting, the clay birds are merely “sketches,” or suggestions of birdishness.  The bowl is food/liquid safe, though be careful with the delicate birds if you choose to use it for serving.  7.5″ tall by 8″ from rim to tail tip by 7.5″ diameter.
