Francine Ozereko’s pottery has always charmed me with her almost child-like images of people, birds, pottery, laundry, trees… She uses the sgraffito technique, by carving down to the white clay after painting a black slip layer over all. The results are playful and profound. This mug is distinctly different on each side, but both sides, and the “front” refer to pots. 4″ x 5.5″ x3″
