Description

With a cameo of impressed rose leaves at the center, this bowl is a study of intricate points at various levels of scale.  With a single bottle/can-opener tool (a church-key), Suzanne presses one point at a time into the slightly hardened clay to make a repeating pattern from rim to cameo’s edge, and then again on the outside of the bowl’s turned up rim.  After she’s done, she needs to stretch, to stare out at long distances, to have a drink.  This piece is glazed in amber celadon, black, and red iron oxide wash.  3″ deep by 9″ in diameter. — SOLD —
