Platters and I do not get along.  They crack, they warp, they get stuff stuck in the glaze from the shelf above them in the kiln….The two platters pictured here were my second attempt to fill part of a sweetly large order, all in cobalt blue.  But these platters warped.  In my first attempt, the glaze had turned out blotchy.  So, here I offer you the platter on the left in the picture, featuring poisonous water hemlock leaves (remember Socrates?).  The piece looks great on a plate stand.  When sitting flat, it rocks slightly.  1.5″ deep by 12.25″ in diameter.  Regular price: $360; Seconds price: $160
