Description
In 2020, as the pandemic snuck up on all of us, I began a new series of botanical watercolors based on flora and fauna I was observing each week (or so), while also noting the changing news about the pandemic. The specimens are labeled with their common and Latin names, often with a brief bit of information added. Also included are the date that I did each sketch, and the temperature in Earlysville, VA on that date.
Each giclee print on archival, acid-free bamboo paper is signed and numbered. The photography of the original watercolor sketches and printing was done at Stubblefield Photo Lab in Charlottesville, VA. Instantly frameable at 11″ x 14″. All images are copyright 2021 by Suzanne Crane–please do not reproduce without permission.
Unframed limited edition (of 50) prints are $55 each plus $15 shipping (the shipping is included in the price below). Framed versions are available for $120.
March 1-8 includes a sketch of a black-capped chickadee on flowering quince. NOTE: this print is oriented horizontally.
