Yet another in my weed series of vases, not meant to hold weeds, but to show off how pretty some weed imprints can be. This vase, in amber with red berries shows off I vine I detest while hiking in the woods—cat brier, or greenbrier (Smilax for those of you who like Latin). It is thorny and can grow impenetrably tangled, and it has ripped many of my pants legs and shirts. But look at how nicely it plays on the side of this vase! Its berries are usually a dark blue, so I cheated a bit. 8.5” tall by 6.5” diameter. Sunflowers and fireweed, anyone?
