Description

Horse nettle is a particularly nasty plant, full of spines both on its stems and all along the veins of its leaves.  While you’re weeding your garden, without gloves (who would do that!), horse nettle will make you rear back in surprised pain, if you’re not paying attention.  But, in the spirit of “attention must be paid,” I’ve transformed horse nettle into art by impressing it onto a simply elegant, wheel-thrown stoneware vase.  My celadon glaze runs just enough to create a watercolor effect.  This vase deserves not weeds, but dozens of red roses.  8″ tall by 5.75″ diameter.
