DELIVERY TIME
Our pottery is made by hand after an order is placed. If an item is available when you place your order, we’ll ship it immediately. If not, please allow 4-12 weeks lead time. An order confirmation will be e-mailed to you and will include an estimated delivery date. Please call before ordering if you’d like to check lead time or availability. We’re always happy to give you a quick verbal run-down of what’s currently in the gallery. Please also refer to our On-Line Open House (on our home page) which shows what we’ve got in stock and ready to ship immediately.

RETURN POLICY
The pottery you order is made by hand. Each piece is unique and will vary slightly in color and size from the examples pictured. Botanical specimens will vary seasonally according to what can be found in the woods the day your order is made, and all handles and knobs are completely unique. These variations are natural parts of the pottery-making process and should be expected. We carefully inspect each piece for defects, such as chips, cracks, and glaze misses, before it leaves the studio.

We guarantee that all items sent will be of first-quality and substantially similar to those pictured on this website. If, however, you choose to return a piece, you can do so, but you must pay for return shipping and insurance. If you choose to return a piece for exchange, you must pay for return shipping and insurance and for shipping the new piece from my studio. If there is a problem with your shipment due to breakage or damage in shipping, please save all packaging materials and call us within ONE WEEK of receipt. We cannot replace/exchange any piece broken AFTER it is in your hands.

SHIPPING
Orders are shipped via UPS ground service. Additional charges may apply for overnight, 2-day, or 3-day shipping. For orders under $100, a straight $25 shipping and handling fee will be added. For orders over $100, add 15% for shipping and handling.

SALES TAX
Virginia residents must add 5.3% sales tax to the cost of their order.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT POTTERY
As with all stoneware, exposure to extremes in temperature will cause breakage. Do not thaw frozen food on stoneware in either the microwave or the oven. Heat stoneware gradually. For instance, warm a stoneware teapot in hot tap water before pouring boiling water into it. Though Suzanne Crane’s work is functional and food safe, it is delicately thrown and must be handled with care. Handles and knobs are especially vulnerable to breakage. We cannot be held responsible for breakage after a piece is in your hands.
