Fern Spiral Bowl in Dark Amber

This bowl is a statement piece, impressed with three marginal shield ferns in a spiral and glazed in a dark amber, resulting from layering a glaze called Ancient Jasper over another glaze called Marigold. The rim’s intricate point pattern is pressed, one point at a time, with a churchkey and treated in a red iron oxide wash, giving it a metallic cast.
