Burgundy and Red Large Table Lamp with Embroidered Shade
Large table lamp in and intriguing mix of deep and bright reds sprinkled with some crystalline action in the glaze. The church key pattern at shoulder and base is glazed in green celadon, tempered by the black glaze showing deep in the point impressions. The embroidered shade is a story in itself—I picked out the material at a local upholsterer’s shop, then sent it to Sue Johnson Lamps and Shades in Berkeley, CA to be made into a lamp shade. Absolutely one-of-a-kind. A statement piece around which you decorate, rather than the other way around. IIDSSM (if I do say so myself!).
With shade: 21” tall by 16” wide. Base: 10” tall by 7” diameter.
